I love the convenience of having them on my Kindle, but I hate not being able to tell where I am at any given moment while reading. :-)Īfter using this version of the scriptures now for a couple months I have a love/hate relationship with them. It irks me a little that they (whoever "they" is) chose to list Joseph Smith as the author, but I'll get over it. With my Kindle in hand, I feel ready to give a Devotional or a 15 minute talk on almost any gospel topic with only a few moment's notice. Some topics have several pages of quotes from General Authorities about that particular topic. I appreciate the inclusion of LDS Gems: Inspirational Quotes. It works well, and I can get to a particular passage as quick as anyone using their quad. Each chapter has a list of the verse numbers across the top for quick movement to the desired verse. (easier navigation to the chapter you want). I appreciate having each topic in the Topical Guide, and Bible Dictionary on a new page.Įach book in the scriptures has a list of chapters across the top of the page. but, none of the others have that either. Yes, it would be nice to be able to have hot-links to the scriptures references in the Topical Guide, Bible Dictionary, Guide to the Scriptures, etc. This is by far the nicest of the various sets of scriptures I've seen for the Kindle. Those who have assembled this compilation have done a good job of making the best of the Kindle's navigational limitations.
